Woody Allen and The Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band in Florence

By popular demand, after the announcement of the date at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan (June 18), Woody Allen and The Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band added a second date in Italy: at the Cavea of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence the 30 June next.

The show will be totally improvised as always, there will not be any scheduled schedule but the selection of the pieces will all focus on pieces from the beginning of the century that are inspired by Sidney Bechet, George Lewis, Johnny Dodds, Jimmie Noone and Louis Armstrong. The Woody Allen project & The Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band for 36 years amazes the public with an original mix inspired by the sounds of New Orleans. The first tour dates back to 1996, when they played in Europe for 19 concerts in 21 days. The documentary "Wild Man Sings The Blues", shot by Katherine Bigelow, winner of an Oscar, takes in a precise manner Woody Allen on tour with the band.
